Hello! My name is Anna Hoyt, your child's Music Teacher! This is my 4th year here at Saint Germaine.
 
I have been a teacher for 12 years and earned my Bachelor of Music Education  from Central Michigan University, I have taught Middle School Band and Choir, High School Drumline and Percussion Ensemble, as well as Kindergarten through Eighth Grade General Music. My very first instrument was the Flute, and I enjoy playing all of the different band instruments as well!
 
This year I am looking forward to using listening, dancing, and instrument playing to learn about the different aspects of music. The skills we learn in this class through music games, songs, projects, and composition, will not only help us broaden our musical knowledge, but will teach us skills and strategies for working with others. Music can refine our fine motor skills and coordination, teach us patience, hard-work, and get us thinking and working outside the box.
